Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Maintenance Handyman/Woman to support a variety of commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, electrical knowledge, carpentry, experience in construction and comfortable working without direct supervision.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive property maintenance and grounds keeping (seasonal tasks)
  • Conduct general upkeep tasks such as: Painting, door adjustments, washing vehicles
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Skilled in welding, electrical/plumbing work, carpentry and general maintenance tasks
  • Vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure properties meet safety standards and support emergency repairs when necessary.
  • If required operate skid steer, scissor lift, forklift
  • Ability to work overhead, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
  • Other duties as may be required

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, forklift, scissor lift)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport vehicles
  • Criminal record check
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Self-directed, reliable, and highly motivated
  • Good time management and organizational skills
