Directors are responsible for the overseeing the Centre operations and embedding the company’s strategic direction within their dedicated childcare Centre location. Directors are accountable for maintaining a high-quality childcare environment through implementing a strong educational offering executed through excellent financial management and team mentorship. The Director is guided by the vision, brand and culture of Childventures always maintaining open and honest lines of communication between parents and team members.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for providing strategic and day-to-day direction in leading centre teams to achieve financial, enrollment, and excellence targets.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including children, parents, ministry representatives and the Childventures leadership and teams.
  • Responsible for providing centre level leadership through providing scheduling, training, coaching, feedback and guidance to effectively develop the team.
  • Ensure the health, safety and wellness of the children and team members within the Centre.
  • Develops, fosters and maintains collaborative partnerships with community partners and the organization’s leadership and support centre teams.

  • Is detail-oriented with a deep understanding of ministry and regulations pertaining to CCYEA licensing and other legislated standards

  • Is an expert in time management and personal organization.
  • Is self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently
  • Has experience working with children of all age groups in an early childhood education setting


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario Post- Secondary Institution or AECEO Equivalency
  • Childcare Management Certificate or equivalent an asset
  • Registered member of the College of ECE in good standing (RECE)
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience with knowledge and experience operating a childcare Centre


SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO MEET MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING:

  • Obtain Supervisor Director Approval from the Ministry of Education as per the CCEYA
  • 2 Step TB
  • Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C- Within 3 months of hire
