Summary

We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in. This role is vital in ensuring safety standards are maintained across our operations, contributing to a secure and compliant work environment in the mining sector.
Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies tailored to mining equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for technicians and staff.
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections at job sites.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
  • Provide guidance on risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role within the manufacturing or mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and reporting.
  • Ability to conduct thorough safety audits and investigations.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA or equivalent are preferred.
  • Experience with safety management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
