We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Service HVAC/R Technician to become part of our diverse team of talented technicians! Join us in consistently delivering top quality work and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious problem solver who can successfully prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly. You will be able to establish yourself as a top-tier technician in a growing industry with a company that’s in it for the long haul.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service of commercial, multi-family residential & light industrial mechanical systems.
  • Complex troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshooting & training support for apprentices.
  • Available to work 8:00AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday and ability to attend occasional overtime call outs.
  • Participate in rotating on-call shifts with team member support to satisfy our customers’ needs.
  • Working mostly in the lower mainland, with occasional trips to the Fraser Valley and sea to sky corridor.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service HVAC/R Technician, a Red Seal is an asset.
  • Familiarity with servicing high-rise mechanical systems, heat pumps, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, controls.
  • Valid TQ, Class B Gas Ticket and RE Endorsement (required).
  • Class-A gas ticket is considered an asset & will be compensated accordingly.
  • Valid Class 5 or 7 driver’s license and ability to provide a driver’s abstract.
  • Dependable, works well under pressure, and works well independently & as part of a team.
  • Takes pride in analyzing challenging problems and providing top-notch solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong written & verbal communication skills with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations with customers calmly & effectively.

  • $135,050/year (includes a combined 12% for holiday & vacation pay)
  • Additional $20,800/year in RRSPs + Local 516 Union Membership (after probation)
  • Additional pay for Gas A or B tickets, FSR-BR, Cross Connection Control
