Hydronic Heating / HVAC Installer

Consult Mechanical Inc. is seeking an experienced Hydronic Heating & HVAC Installer / Gas Fitter to join our growing team specializing in luxury custom homes and complex mechanical systems throughout the GTA, in High End Custom Homes and Light Commercial.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be experienced in the installation, coordination and commissioning of high-end residential mechanical systems including:

  • Hydronic radiant heating systems
  • Geothermal heating and cooling systems
  • High-efficiency HVAC systems
  • Air conditioning installations
  • Boiler and mechanical room piping
  • Gas piping and appliance connections
  • Custom home ductwork and ventilation systems

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission hydronic heating systems, including radiant floor heating, manifolds, pumps, boilers and controls
  • Install geothermal systems, heat pumps and associated distribution systems
  • Install forced air HVAC systems, including furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps and air conditioning equipment
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, design documents and specifications
  • Perform rough-in and finish work in high-end custom homes
  • Install and connect gas piping for boilers, fireplaces, ranges and related equipment
  • Coordinate with builders, site supervisors, designers and other trades
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions independently
  • Ensure installations meet code requirements, manufacturer standards and company quality expectations
  • Assist with startup, balancing and commissioning activities
  • Maintain clean, organized and safe work practices on-site

Qualifications

  • Experience in custom residential HVAC / hydronic installations required
  • Experience with geothermal systems strongly preferred
  • Valid Gas Technician License (G2 or G1 preferred)
  • Sheet metal / refrigeration / hydronics experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and control sequences
  • Ability to read blueprints and coordinate complex installations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
