Full job description

Provincial Refrigeration has been serving Edmonton and surrounding areas since 2001, providing commercial refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, equipment repair, and building maintenance services to a wide range of customers including restaurants, apartment complexes, seniors' residences, and commercial facilities.

We're looking for a highly organized, solutions-focused Service Coordinator to help lead the daily operations of our service department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting technicians in the field, and takes pride in keeping customers informed and operations running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Service Coordinator, you'll play a central role in the success of our service team by coordinating technicians, supporting field operations, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily scheduling and dispatching of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing technicians
  • Monitor service calls and job progress throughout the day
  • Support technicians with job planning, troubleshooting assistance, and operational challenges
  • Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, service updates, and job completion
  • Review work orders, technician notes, and service documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with inventory management, parts ordering, and material coordination
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules and vehicle service requirements
  • Help ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Support technician training, development, and accountability
  • Assist with resolving customer concerns and service escalations
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to improve workflow efficiency and department performance
  • Track technician productivity and support operational goals

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating service operations, dispatching, scheduling, or field service teams
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical service, plumbing, or related trades
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Valid driver's license

Software Experience

Experience with the following is considered an asset:

  • Dispatching and scheduling software
  • Service management platforms
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • ERP or service management systems
