HVAC Residential Ductwork Subcontractor (Piece Pay)

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HVAC Residential Ductwork Subcontractor to join our team on a piece pay basis. This role is ideal for skilled professionals who can handle full ductwork scope independently and take complete responsibility for their work.

Scope of Work:

  • Marking duct layout on-site as per Green Line standards (Alberta) and in compliance with applicable codes
  • Rough-in marking for supply and return air boots
  • Designing residential duct systems according to code requirements
  • Complete installation of residential HVAC duct systems (start to finish)
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling ductwork (sheet metal, flex, etc.)
  • Ensuring proper sealing, insulation, and airflow performance
  • Coordinating with site supervisors and other trades

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in full residential ductwork (design, layout, and installation)
  • Strong knowledge of Green Line marking standards in Alberta and relevant HVAC codes
  • Experience in rough-in layout and accurate boot placement (supply & return air)
  • Ability to independently complete full ductwork for a house from start to finish
  • Must take full responsibility for quality, accuracy, and completion of work
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Own tools and reliable transportation
  • Valid WCB insurance and government-issued ID required
  • Strong understanding of safety standards

Compensation:

  • Piece pay per house/project (based on INDUSTRY STANDARDS)
