What you will be doing:

  • Establish ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation.
  • Lead the full-cycle design, development, implementation, and maintenance of in-house Enterprise Resource Planning systems (participate as a member of the project core team).
  • Modify ERP systems and modules in accordance with changing business requirements and in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate, develop, deploy, and support automatic EP workflows and ensure regular maintenance does not disrupt production capabilities.
  • Write customized programs and scripts, as well as configure ERP applications.
  • Develop user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.
  • Provide technical training to end-users as required. Assist in the development of training manuals and materials, and spend time with individuals or groups for training.
  • Manage system security and access requirements, including parameters by user, role and company, among other things.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and resolve issues to optimize performance during implementation phases.
  • Design, implement, and test system updates; resolve issues; troubleshoot problems, and identify design needs.
  • Document, track, and monitor all problems/resolution activity in HelpDesk system to ensure timely resolution and adherence to department guidelines.
  • Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Maintain system data integrity.
  • Assist in data imports.
  • Redirect problems to appropriate internal and external resources, as required.
  • Keep abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings.
  • Other duties as required up to but not limited to analyzing financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and revenue trends to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

What you bring to the table:

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate university degree in computer science or engineering
  • Training or certifications in database administration, enterprise software, and reporting
  • At least 3 years of experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining ERP systems and technologies is preferred
  • Experience in project management is an asset
  • Three to seven years of experience in a business systems analyst role at a manufacturing company
  • Flexible to work after office hours and weekends when required
  • Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
  • ERP system configuration, master data management, workflow development, and report writing
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication to interact with all levels of management
  • Technical document writing – including business process mapping, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
