Full job description

Looking for a Grower for our various Greenhouse Locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee crop production, ensuring optimal plant health and yield.
  • Monitor and manage irrigation, nutrition, climate control, and pest/disease control programs.
  • Conduct regular scouting and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
  • Work closely with the growing team to optimize greenhouse conditions and production schedules.
  • Maintain detailed records of crop performance, treatments, and environmental conditions.
  • Collaborate with management to improve growing techniques and efficiencies.
  • Other responsibilities/tasks as assigned

Job Requirements :

  • Knowledge of Hoodengoorn Climate and Irrigation System, preferred.
  • Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture
  • Health Canada Security Clearance, an asset
  • Pesticide License an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years grower experience
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management, decision making and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Valid License as travel to various greenhouse locations required
  • Position requires Monday- Saturday, Holidays and after hours availability
  • Candidate must be able to stand, kneel, bend and walk for extended periods of time
  • Grower will be working with various people and cultures
  • Spanish speaking considered an asset, but not necessary
  • Candidate will be working under hot, humid conditions during summer months
  • Candidate must abide by Company policies and procedures pertaining to Health And Safety, Food Safety and Bio security
