HCA or Caregiver

Are you looking for a rewarding career, where you get to know each client and work one-on-one with them and make an incredible difference in their lives?

We are looking for caring and compassionate CarePro's to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. We provide a variety of non-medical and medical services to our clients where ever they call home. Our mission is to meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifts-sit to stand/hoyer-we provide training.
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Medication and appointment reminders.
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing.
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues.
  • Dementia Care.
  • Palliative Care.

Requirements to be a CarePro

  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Provide a clean Vulnerable sector check.
  • 2 positive Professional references-please bring to interview.
  • Possess a valid driver’s Class 5 license.
  • Clean Driver’s abstract is required prior to employment.
  • Possess a vehicle with valid auto insurance and registration.
  • Be able to drive up to 25 mins to a clients home in all sorts of weather conditions.
  • Speak CLEAR English
  • Must be able to work weekends especially Sundays
  • Preference to overnight availability

We provide care to the East side of Edmonton, including Sherwood park, Fort Saskatchewan including Beaumont and other rural areas North/East of Edmonton. If you live West of 97st/Calgary Trail please apply to the WEST office. If you live in LEDUC or south of Edmonton please apply to the Leduc office.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
