Full job description

No Limits Underground Ltd. is seeking an experienced Topman to join our growing utility construction team. We perform water and sewer installations, telecom construction, HDD operations, hydrovac excavations, and civil infrastructure projects throughout Manitoba.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in working safely around underground infrastructure, supporting trench crews, and helping projects stay productive and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pipe layers and operators during utility installations.
  • Safely enter and exit excavations as required.
  • Install and remove trench boxes, shoring systems, and excavation supports.
  • Direct excavator operators during digging operations.
  • Locate, expose, and protect existing underground utilities.
  • Install water, sewer, telecom, and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with compaction, grading, restoration, and site cleanup.
  • Conduct daily equipment and site safety inspections.
  • Follow company safety procedures and project specifications.
  • Support foremen and crew members to maintain production targets.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in underground utility construction preferred.
  • Experience working around watermain, sewer, telecom, or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read grade stakes and utility layouts is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

  • Class 3 Driver's License
  • Experience with trench boxes and shoring systems
