The Company


B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.


Position


Supervisor, Maintenance, Nunavut


Location and Reporting Structure


Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance team, including (but not limited to) Automotive Service & Heavy Equipment Technicians and Welders to ensure the safe and efficient scheduled and unscheduled repair of site equipment.
  • Ensure work is being completed properly by team members and providing guidance to team members as required. Verify the appropriate procedures prior to taking action and communicating clearly to the team expectations of work.
  • Prioritize work order requests with the Superintendent, Maintenance to organize jobs & execute according to level of urgency & weekly schedule. Interface regularly with teams across site to schedule maintenance activities.
  • Review work orders & key performance indicators {KPI's) and decide on corrective measures to be taken and communicate effectively to the team.
  • Requisition of materials and supplies.
  • Lead by example by executing the best operational practices daily.


Desired Competencies and Requirements


  • Five (5) years' of post qualification experience, with a minimum of two {2) years of experience as a Lead Hand, preferably in an isolated remote setting with limited access to parts and resources.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Nunavut Heavy Equipment Technician CoQ, supplemented with supervisory course work.
  • Experience in maintenance planning using computerized maintenance software's, proven organizational skills, and familiarity with industry terminology, is considered an asset.


Compensation and Benefits


For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $202,500.00
