Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced restaurant environment. A background in restaurant management, food service, and team supervision is essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food handling, cooking, and serving processes
  • Develop and refine menu items, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Train new staff on proper food handling, safety procedures, and service techniques
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Monitor kitchen workflow to optimize productivity and minimize waste
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience with team management responsibilities in a culinary environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent understanding of restaurant management operations
  • Skilled in food industry best practices, including kitchen organization and service delivery
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Prior restaurant experience is highly preferred; hospitality background is a plus
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model for staff while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
