Our mission is to empower children and families through community engagement and professional support, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Summary

We are seeking full time and part time compassionate and dedicated Care Providers to join our team at Eagle Nest Community and Aboriginal Services in Prince George, B.C. In this role, you will create a therapeutic living environment for youth, helping them develop essential life skills while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for residents in a residential setting.
  • Assist in the daily living activities of children in care, promoting their independence.
  • Support the emotional and developmental needs of children whose families are unavailable.
  • Implement therapeutic strategies to foster positive behavior and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care for each resident.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and any incidents that occur.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of post-secondary education in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or related fields.
  • Or 2 years working experience within this field
  • Valid Level 1 First Aid certification is required.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.
  • Ability to provide a clean criminal record abstract through the RCMP.
  • Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
  • A valid BC Driver's license minimum N
