Our client is currently seeking a qualified Web Designer to join their team onsite in Ottawa, ON.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and configure web content structures, including content types and taxonomy, to support user-friendly experiences
  • Create and manage web content, ensuring compliance with GC content standards and best practices
  • Ensure intuitive user experiences through the application of usability principles and testing
  • Define architecture to be used in the web-based projects
  • Perform architectural modeling to ensure consistency of the design with existing work
  • Select the development language to be used for the project
  • Perform architectural modeling to ensure consistency of the design with existing work

Skills and Qualifications:
  • University undergraduate degree or diploma or five (5) years of progressive experience in IT
  • Experience working with Drupal domains and solutions
  • Experience designing System (principles and guidelines for consistent user experience)
  • Experience in HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Twig and XML
  • Experience with Drupal modules (e.g. Views, Panels, CCK/Field API)
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g. Symfony, Laravel)
  • Experience with Version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN)

  • Concevoir et configurer les structures de contenu Web, y compris les types de contenu et les taxonomies, afin d’offrir une expérience utilisateur conviviale et efficace.
  • Créer et gérer le contenu Web tout en veillant au respect des normes de contenu du gouvernement du Canada (GC) et des meilleures pratiques du secteur.
  • Assurer une expérience utilisateur intuitive grâce à l’application des principes d’utilisabilité (ergonomie Web) et à la réalisation de tests utilisateurs.
  • Définir l’architecture à utiliser dans les projets Web.
  • Effectuer la modélisation architecturale afin d’assurer la cohérence de la conception avec les solutions et travaux existants.
  • Sélectionner le langage de développement qui sera utilisé dans le cadre du projet.

Compétences et qualifications:
  • Diplôme universitaire de premier cycle, diplôme collégial ou cinq (5) années d’expérience progressive en technologies de l’information (TI).

  • Expérience en conception de systèmes, notamment l’élaboration de principes et de lignes directrices visant à assurer une expérience utilisateur cohérente.
  • Expérience avec HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Twig et XML.
  • Expérience avec les modules Drupal (p. ex. Views, Panels, CCK/Field API).
  • Expérience avec des cadres de développement PHP (p. ex. Symfony, Laravel).

Échelle salariale:
Le taux pour ce poste se situe entre 45,00$ et 60,00$ l'heure, à moins que le salaire minimum local ne soit plus élevé.
