Full job description

Overview:
Create value at TC Transcontinental.

At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.

We have been driving innovation since 1976.
Founded 50 years ago and 4,000 employees strong, Transcontinental Inc. (TSX: TCL.A TCL.B), known under the TC Transcontinental brand, is a Canadian retail marketing services company, Canada's largest printer, and the Canadian leader in French-language educational publishing. Driven by the vision of a more informed, educated and prosperous society, TC Transcontinental propels its clients' success across the retail, education, book and information industries. With agility, creativity and boldness, we design and deliver innovative, high-value products and services.

This role is ideal for a leader who understands the graphic arts and printing environment and is equally comfortable managing people, monitoring KPIs, improving processes, and working cross-functionally with Production, Sales, Quoting, and other departments.
Responsibilities:
When your actions lead to success:
  • Own and coordinate the end-to-end workflow for the Art and Dymoflex departments, ensuring priorities, deadlines, and resources are clearly managed.
  • Establish and maintain effective workflows, queues, directories, archives, and production processes.
  • Prioritize incoming projects based on production requirements, deadlines, capacity, and business priorities.
  • Monitor departmental performance and identify bottlenecks, delays, rework, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure projects move efficiently through the department and provide regular updates to Production and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and communicate priorities, capacity, issues, and status updates.
  • Support the planning and execution of large-scale projects, including large bus kits.
  • Support quoting and Sales when required by providing operational and technical input.
Qualifications:
When your expertise drives us:
  • Leads with accountability and sets clear expectations.
  • Uses data and KPIs to measure performance and make decisions.
  • Can identify a workflow problem, determine the root cause, and implement a practical solution.
  • Is comfortable holding employees accountable while building a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Thinks beyond individual tasks and understands the entire production workflow.
  • Communicates proactively with other departments rather than waiting for issues to escalate.
  • Is organized, decisive, and comfortable prioritizing work in a high-volume environment.
  • Develops people through coaching, training, and cross-training.
  • Takes ownership of departmental performance and continuously looks for ways to improve it.
When benefits really help you live better:
We offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support your well-being and help you thrive—at work and at home. Our offerings include:
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives and retirement savings plans with company match
  • Customizable group benefits including health, dental, life, disability, and travel insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Employee perks such as discounts on insurance, wireless plans, travel, and more
  • Career development opportunities
  • A dynamic, inclusive work environment where your voice matters and your growth is supported
