Job Description:

Pal Distributors is a Canadian manufacturer and distributor with over 43 years of experience. Headquartered in Winnipeg, with additional warehouse locations in Toronto and Calgary, we serve customers across Canada in the food processing and industrial packaging industries.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our Winnipeg team in a full-time position involving graphic design, website maintenance, and production quality control.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone with practical experience who enjoys working both on a computer and in a production environment.

The ideal candidate will have solid graphic design and computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Accuracy is extremely important in this role, particularly when reviewing printed artwork and verifying customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Website Maintenance

Create and update product brochures, catalogues, flyers, advertisements, and other marketing materials.

Maintain and update company websites, including product information, photographs, and general content.

Prepare and modify artwork and graphics for print and digital applications.

Assist our sales team with presentations, product information sheets, and promotional materials.

Edit product photography and maintain consistent company branding.

Assist with other general marketing and computer-related projects.

Printing Department & Quality Control:

Review and verify artwork to ensure accuracy before and during the printing process.

Confirm that printed materials match approved customer artwork, specifications, and requirements.

Check printed products for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.

Work with production staff to identify and correct artwork or printing discrepancies.

Verify that completed customer orders are properly packaged according to order requirements.

Check product quantities and counts to ensure orders are complete and accurate.

Assist in maintaining quality control standards and minimizing errors before orders are shipped.

Qualifications & Experience:

2–5 years of practical experience in graphic design, website maintenance, or a related field preferred.

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, or similar design software.

Experience updating and maintaining websites.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

Ability to follow instructions, specifications, and established procedures.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Willingness to work in both an office and production environment.

Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working as part of a team.

Additional assets:

Experience in printing, packaging, or manufacturing.

Familiarity with artwork preparation and commercial printing processes.

Experience in quality control or order verification.

Basic knowledge of SEO, HTML, or website development.

Experience with product photography and digital marketing.

Formal education in graphic design or web development is an asset, but practical experience, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are equally important.
