Faites partie d’une équipe collaborative dédiée à la recherche sur les maladies neurodégénératives !

Biospective est actuellement à la recherche d’un(e) Technicien(ne) en histologie méticuleux(se),autonome, et rigoureux(se) pour se joindre à son équipe de recherche préclinique.

Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable de l’exécution complète du flux de travail en histologie, de manière indépendante, dans un environnement dynamique axé sur la qualité.

RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Réaliser de façon autonome l’ensemble du processus histologique : fixation, traitement tissulaire, inclusion en paraffine, microtomie et cryotomie
  • Effectuer des colorations de routine et spécialisées : H&E, colorations spéciales, immunohistochimie (IHC) et immunofluorescence (IF)
  • Développer et optimiser des protocoles d’IHC et d’IF
  • Assurer une qualité constante des échantillons et des coupes
  • Numériser les lames et contribuer à l’analyse d’images
  • Maintenir une documentation rigoureuse et conforme aux SOP
  • Participer à l’entretien des équipements et aux activités d’assurance qualité

COMPÉTENCES ET EXIGENCES

  • DEC en technologie de laboratoire biomédical ou équivalent
  • Minimum 2 ans d’expérience pratique en histologie (hors contexte académique uniquement)
  • Expérience concrète et autonome en : inclusion en paraffine (FFP) microtomie (utilisation de microtome), colorations histologiques (H&E obligatoire, IHC/IF un atout majeur)
  • Capacité à travailler avec précision dans un environnement à haut volume
  • Bonne dextérité manuelle et souci du détail
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais, oral et écrit)

CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL

  • Travail en laboratoire, sur site (Situé à proximité du métro Namur)
  • Horaire de jour
  • Participation obligatoire à une rotation de fin de semaine (environ 1 fois aux 3 semaines)
  • Heures supplémentaires occasionnelles selon la charge de travail

Biospective is currently looking for meticulous, autonomous, and detail-oriented Histology Technician to join its preclinical research team.

In this role, you will be responsible for independently executing the full histology workflow in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently perform the full histology workflow: fixation, tissue processing, paraffin embedding, microtomy, and cryotomy
  • Perform routine and advanced staining: H&E, special stains, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF)
  • Developing and optimizing IHC and IF protocols
  • Ensure consistent high-quality tissue processing and sectioning
  • Digitize slides and contribute to image analysis
  • Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory documentation (SOPs)
  • Support equipment maintenance and quality assurance processes

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • DEC in Biomedical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on histology experience (academic-only experience will not be considered sufficient)
  • Proven, independent experience with: paraffin embedding (FFP), microtomy (microtome use), histological staining (H&E required; IHC/IF strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work with precision in a high-throughput environment
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written)

Working Conditions:

  • On-site laboratory role (Montreal near Metro Namur)
  • Day shifts
  • Mandatory weekend rotation (~1 every 3 weeks)
  • Occasional overtime depending on workload
