Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our golf course. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, golf course management experience, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing teams, optimizing sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Marketing, merchandising, and budgeting are highly valued to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate staff across all departments, including recruiting, training & development, and performance management.
  • Oversee golf course operations including, clubhouse operations, golf course maintenence operations, pricing strategies, POS systems, and inventory purchasing.
  • Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by establishing effective communication protocols and phone etiquette.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote the golf course brand and increase foot traffic.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics; analyze data to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a competent team.
  • Maintain organizational compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare budgets, manage expenses, and oversee golf course financial health through effective bookkeeping practices.
  • Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in golf course management or management roles with demonstrated success in general management.
  • Strong leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, purchasing, marketing, and cash handling.
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Experience with training & development programs for staff; capable of motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Strong administrative skills including bookkeeping, math aptitude, time management, and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle interviewing processes and team recruitment efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask under pressure.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
