Magna Golf Club, one of Canada’s most exclusive private clubs located in Aurora, Ontario, is currently seeking experienced part-time bartenders to join our outstanding Food & Beverage team. Availability for nights and weekends shifts is required. Our club offers year-round dining and we are looking for experienced candidates.

Our bartenders are responsible for supporting the serving staff by fulfilling orders, recommending cocktails and have strong wine knowledge. In addition to bartending, the bartender interacts with members, takes orders and serves food and beverages. It is important that the bartender can anticipate member’s needs, preferences and makes recommendations. The Bartender will maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, restock, and maintain inventory and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities Highlights:
  • Provide recommendations to members and serving staff based on member preferences and inventory.
  • Stock and maintain all bar products, including garnishes and glasses.
  • Understand and be able to communicate to the staff highlighted wines and their tasting notes.
  • Organize the bar to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
  • Possess strong menu knowledge and the ability to modify the dishes based on preference and dietary restrictions.
  • Anticipate member needs through member profiles and reservation lists.
  • Create an unforgettable service experience and leave every member feeling valued and unique.
  • Other duties as assigned and required by management.

A successful candidate will:
  • Have minimum 3-4 years of experience as a bartender.
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, beer and cocktails.
  • Can navigate the wine list and suggest wine pairings based on member preferences.
  • Be dedicated to a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be a positive high energy individual.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to work well under pressure and effectively balance multiple tasks.
  • Be an effective communicator and love working in a team environment.
  • Be proficient in POS Systems, JONAS Clubhouse Software is considered an asset.
  • Have flexible full-time availability; holiday, evening and weekend shifts are required.
  • Have Smart Serve certification.
