Your Opportunity at SECURE:
The General Labourer is responsible for day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site

This role is based out of Edmonton Alberta
The Team:
You will be part of a safety-first team where your contributions directly support efficient and sustainable metal recycling operations. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, develop new skills through cross-training, and grow your career in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Work Environment:
This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with overtime and Saturday shifts as required.
A Day in The Life:
  • Responsible for sorting non-ferrous material, cutting material to size and packaging
  • Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Partake in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.
  • Work well with other workers
  • Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, cut off saws, stationary baler
  • Willing to be trained on other positions
  • Must have an understanding of all power and small tools
  • Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping
  • Other related duties as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • General labourer and/or farm experience an asset but not required
  • Experience working with metals would be an asset but we are willing to train
  • Basic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s safety and hazard assessment process”
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions
  • Fit-for-Work each day
