Production Worker

Job Summary

PFG Glass Industries is seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as full-time Production Workers. In this role, successful candidates will be cross-trained throughout our facility or assigned to specific departments based on skills and operational requirements. We provide complete training for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating specialized automated manufacturing equipment while loading, unloading, and inspecting glass products.
  • Reading and scanning production tags to accurately track orders throughout the facility.
  • Performing mandatory safety and equipment inspections before starting daily operations.
  • Measuring finished glass products to ensure compliance with strict quality standards.
  • Navigating our company inventory system using standalone computers and handheld scanners.
  • Reading fabrication drawings and work orders to verify production requirements.
  • Identifying and reporting any product defects to the shift supervisor.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • The ability to accurately read a standard tape measure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable means of transportation to attend scheduled shifts.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The physical ability to stand and move throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • The physical ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, glazing, or construction environments is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation, Hours, and Benefits

The starting wage for this position is 25.00 dollars per hour. Regular shift schedules include morning, afternoon, and night options. We offer an additional shift premium of 1.50 dollars per hour for the afternoon shift and 3.50 dollars per hour for the night shift.

Our comprehensive benefits package includes extended health care, dental care, disability insurance, and life insurance. We also provide a company-matched RRSP program, paid time off, paid sick days, an annual steel-toe boot allowance, a jeans allowance, and free on-site parking.
