Local Candidates in GTA ONLY

When you choose GeoPro, you’re choosing a team with a wide range of expertise and a shared concern for the environment and the sustainable development of their communities. At GeoPro, the health and safety of our employees is a top priority. We have built a culture of caring and are sincerely committed to diversity and inclusion.

We are actively looking for two key field roles to support our growing operations in the GTA. Please note that these positions are for future opportunities by Spring and Summer, and not for an immediate vacancy.

1. Sampler – Geotechnical Borehole Drilling

We’re looking for a field-ready Sampler to assist with geotechnical borehole drilling.

Responsibilities:

· Collect and log soil/rock samples during drilling (SPT, Shelby tubes, core barrels, etc.)

· Describe soils using USCS and record groundwater data

· Label, preserve, and transport samples to labs

· Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols

· Maintain clear field notes and daily reports

2. Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

We are seeking a reliable and detail-driven Quality Assurance Technician to conduct on-site testing and quality control for geotechnical and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

· Perform field sampling and in-situ testing of construction materials (e.g., soil compaction, concrete slump, air, temperature, asphalt density)

· Inspect and verify that materials and construction practices meet project specifications and regulatory requirements

· Complete and maintain accurate test records and QA reports

· Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and follow QA/QC protocols

· Report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions

· Communicate findings with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers

QUALIFICATIONS (for both roles):

· College Diploma in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (or related disciplines)

· Willingness to work extended hours and in outdoor or remote field conditions

· Physically fit and safety-conscious

· Eligible or registered as a CET (preferred)

· Familiarity with soil classification, drilling methods, and QA testing standards is an asset

· CCIL certification in concrete testing is an asset

· Previous experience working in Ontario construction or geotechnical projects is a plus, but not required.

· Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with a clean driving record

Important Notes:

· These positions are for future opportunities by Spring and Summer, and not for an immediate vacancy.

· Only candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be considered.

· No artificial intelligence (AI) is used during the hiring process, including resume screening, interviewing and assessment, and selection. All applications are reviewed and assessed by our hiring team based on candidates' qualifications.

· We only accept applications via the 'Apply now' and email.

· We welcome fresh graduates and candidates without any local working experiences.

If you’re passionate about quality work, environmental responsibility, and on-site technical problem solving, we’d love to hear from you.
