We are currently seeking to add Geotechnical Technologist for a full-time position in our Vancouver office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out drill-based site investigations which include, but are not limited to soil logging during drilling, drill supervision, and performing electric cone penetration testing (CPT).
  • Analysis of CPT/Dilatometer data.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards within the department.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Technology in Civil Engineering or similar from a Technology Accreditation Canada program
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in geological, geotechnical, civil or related fields
  • Familiar with soil classification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record and a vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within BC for short trips.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on projects for clients in the construction industry
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask on multiple projects at once.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
