Fladgate Exploration Consulting Corporation is a full-service mineral exploration consulting group. We manage all aspects of mineral exploration programs from data compilation and project design through all levels of implementation and management. Our staff is compromised of professional Geologists, Geotechnicians and office staff, each bringing their own unique skill set to the team. We offer outstanding opportunities for individuals seeking a challenging, exciting and rewarding work environment.

We are currently looking for Exploration Geologists to join our growing team. We are hiring for a variety of positions including core logging and office positions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collection and interpretation of geological data from exploration programs, including diamond drilling, field mapping, surface sampling, and re-logging
  • Drill core logging, field mapping
  • Ensuring best practices for logging, sampling, and database management are followed.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of detailed- to regional-scale geology to identify and prioritize exploration opportunities.
  • Contribute to exploration work programs and exploration planning.
  • Work in close collaboration with contractors and any other persons placed under their responsibility.
  • All other tasks related to an exploration program

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science
  • 1-5 years’ experience in mineral exploration.
  • Understanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming processes as it pertains to the latest concepts of gold deposit environments.
  • Experience in field mapping and logging of diamond drill core an asset
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, environment, and community
  • Self-motivated and able to perform and communicate effectively with coworkers and clients
  • Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS or QGIS considered an asset
  • Remote experience would be a serious asset
