We are currently seeking applications for a full-time, year-round Surveyor to join our field operations team.

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate survey data and layout support to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to expand their knowledge and experience within the construction industry.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A surveying-related degree or diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of surveying experience on earthwork or civil construction projects, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Proficiency with Topcon Millimeter GPS systems.
• Experience using Machine Control GPS Technology.
• Experience operating Total Stations for topographic surveying and construction layout.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of general surveying techniques and equipment, including lasers, leveling equipment, and string-line layout.
• The ability to work collaboratively and share knowledge and best practices with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Surveyor, you will:

• Collect and process survey data using GPS, total stations, and other appropriate surveying methods and equipment.
• Provide construction layout and digital design implementation for various stages of a project, including pipe alignments, foundation layouts, ground models, and related work.
• Perform field quality control checks and maintain accurate survey records to ensure project specifications are achieved.
• Review and verify elevations, benchmarks, gridlines, and layout information throughout the life of the project, making adjustments as required to maintain reliable and accurate data.
• Work closely with Site Superintendents, operators, and project teams to support efficient project execution.
• Promote and maintain safe work practices at all times.
