Career Opportunity
Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Vice-President Exploration to join our Exploration Team.
VP Exploration - Overview:
The Vice-President Exploration is responsible for managing all of the Company's exploration activities across its portfolio of projects. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice-President Exploration will oversee the development and execution of an exploration strategy that is focused on discovering and advancing high-grade uranium deposits.
As a key senior member of the team, this role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement. The Vice-President Exploration will manage and mentor the exploration team, fostering a work environment that is focused and discovery-driven. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating under a broad scope of activities ranging from stakeholder and shareholder engagement, regulatory compliance and communication, program planning and budgeting, efficient execution of exploration programs, reporting, and long-term direction of the Company’s exploration strategy and portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Employee shall have all of the duties, responsibilities and authority customarily associated with such a position, which shall include but shall not be limited to the following:
Exploration Execution and Strategy:
- Supervise all of the Company’s mineral exploration activities.
- Develop and manage corporate-level exploration budgets and work programs.
- Lead the development and implementation of exploration strategies focused on the discovery and advancement of uranium targets.
- Evaluate exploration results, guide project advancement, and manage capital allocation.
- Manage and oversee expenditures and budgets to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and within budget.
- Coordinate the exploration team, contractors and service providers, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures
- Prepare and execute bid submissions under the contract tender process and execute contracts for exploration-related work.
Technical Management:
- Develop innovative exploration targets on the Company’s portfolio through the application of advanced exploration techniques and analysis of geological data sets.
- Design exploration programs focused on diamond drilling, surface sampling, and geophysical data collection in support of advancing the exploration portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Exploration Manager, project teams, and Senior Geologists to integrate geological, geophysical, geochemical, and drill data to develop exploration models and targeting strategies.
- Collaborate with the Exploration Manager, project teams, and Senior Geologists to generate, evaluate, and prioritize exploration targets using geological, geochemical, geophysical, and historical datasets.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, news releases, and exploration updates for management, Joint Venture partners, and regulatory filings.
- Manage the storage, safety, and retrieval of project and Company data
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Present exploration plans and results to current and prospective shareholders, and to financial institutions.
- Represent the Company in investor meetings, conferences, or roadshows as requested by the CEO.
- Lead the generation of News Releases on the Company's exploration activities for public dissemination to market.
- Extensive travel may be required depending on marketing needs.
- Support financing efforts to raise capital.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and coach geologists, technicians, and field personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and entrepreneurial-focused culture that is aligned with the Company's values.
- Direct recruitment, hiring decisions, and the development and performance management of technical staff.
- Align exploration priorities with corporate objectives.
- Oversee technical team professional development through work assignments, supervision, mentoring, and training.
Regulatory, Community, Health, Safety, & Indigenous Engagement:
- Manage permitting and engagement specialists to ensure exploration activities comply with all applicable Saskatchewan regulations, permits, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with Indigenous communities, local stakeholders, land users, and government agencies.
- Lead consultation activities and community engagement initiatives in support of exploration activities.
- Lead and promote responsible environmental stewardship and safe exploration practices.
- Champion a strong safety culture across all exploration activities.
- Ensure field programs are conducted in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with remote exploration activities.
- Act as Qualified Person for exploration press releases, and exploration components of MD&As, AIFs, corporate presentations, and finance documents.

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology (required).
- Registered, or has the ability to register for, membership as a Professional Geoscientist in Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- 10+ years of progressive mineral exploration experience, including significant uranium exploration experience.
- Experience working in Saskatchewan, specifically in the Athabasca Basin, is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in target generation, drill program management, and exploration project advancement. Discovery track record is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in the communication of exploration results to current and prospective shareholders, and financial institutions.
- Experience managing and executing on strategic exploration decisions.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is a requirement.
- Strong understanding of unconformity-related uranium deposit models and associated exploration techniques is preferred.
- Experience interpreting geophysical, geochemical, and structural datasets.
- Proficiency with geological software, GIS platforms, and data management systems.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working in a small-company environment where flexibility and initiative are essential.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to spend time in the field and support hands-on exploration activities when required.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Location
This position will be based out of the Saskatoon office. During exploration programs, the individual will be required to travel to the Project sites as required in support of the operations.

With a project generator model, the Company has built a large portfolio of uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin.
