Full job description

Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working Yard / Shop Associate to support our heavy-duty equipment repair operations. This is a hands-on position that keeps the shop, yard, and technicians running efficiently. If you’re the type of person who shows up on time, stays busy without being asked, and takes pride in a clean, organized workspace, you’ll fit in well here.

Duties:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard
  • Move heavy equipment and trucks in and out of the shop (as required)
  • Wash equipment and prepare units for service or delivery
  • Receive and organize parts and shipments
  • Parts pickups and returns
  • Assist technicians with basic tasks and shop support
  • Manage scrap, garbage, and recycling
  • Perform general building and yard maintenance (snow removal, sweeping, etc.)
  • Help track tools, materials, and shop supplies

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and reliability (this is #1)
  • Physically capable of working in a shop/yard environment
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum)
  • Ability to operate skid steer or forklift is an asset (or willingness to learn)
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Able to follow direction and also work independently
