Manufacturing Team Members

Location: Okanagan Falls, BC

Unit Electric, located in Okanagan Falls, is looking for dependable General Labourers to join our Motor Shop team. This position requires strong teamwork skills, a commitment to quality and excellent hand dexterity to accurately handle and assemble our motors.

Position Summary

In the Motor Shop you will contribute to the production, service, and maintenance of our industry-leading Linear Induction Motors (LIMS).

Duties

  • Operating a variety of hand tools, small power tools, forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Support skilled tradespeople with material handling, including loading and unloading supplies and equipment
  • Perform general cleanup duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the positions including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, grinding, and operating small hand tools
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way
  • Commitment to workplace safety
