Commercial Gas Fitter 1

Greater Toronto Area | Full-Time | Year-Round

Kellow Recruiting is working on behalf of a well-established and growing mechanical services organization to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Fitter 1 Service Technician for the Greater Toronto Area. Must have boiler experience

Equipment You'll Work On

Commercial boilers, hydronic heating systems, make-up air units, rooftop units (RTUs), pumps, heat exchangers, domestic hot water systems, gas-fired equipment, and mechanical room systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial gas-fired equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
  • Service commercial boiler and hydronic heating systems
  • Complete start-ups and commissioning of heating equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and combustion-related issues
  • Complete service reports and work orders
  • Deliver professional customer service while maintaining safe work practices

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Valid Gas Technician 1 (G1) Licence
  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean abstract
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial gas service experience
  • Experience servicing commercial boiler systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Professional customer service and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience working on rooftop units (RTUs) and make-up air units (MUAs)
  • High-rise residential or commercial building experience
  • Familiarity with commercial plumbing and hydronic systems
  • Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, and mechanical rooms
