About Us

Meccom Air Systems is a leading residential home comfort provider dedicated to delivering high-quality heating and hydronic solutions to homeowners across Ontario. We pride ourselves on top-tier workmanship, absolute safety, and exceptional customer service. We are currently looking for an experienced, licensed Residential Boiler Technician & Installer to join our growing team.

Job Summary

As a Residential Boiler Technician & Installer, you will be the face of our company in customers' homes. You will safely remove old systems and install modern, high-efficiency residential boilers, combi-boilers, tankless water heaters, and radiant hydronic heating systems. You will also diagnose, service, and maintain existing systems in strict compliance with TSSA regulations and Ontario gas codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service & Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues on residential hydronic systems (zone valves, thermostats, airlocked radiators, leaking lines, circulators).
  • Maintenance: Perform annual preventative maintenance, including flushing heat exchangers, cleaning burners, testing safety relief valves, and performing combustion analysis.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all gas piping, venting, and electrical wiring adhere strictly to TSSA regulations, Ontario Installation Codes (B149.1), and local building requirements.
  • Customer Service: Explain technical issues and repair-vs-replace options clearly to homeowners. Maintain a clean, respectful workspace inside clients' homes using drop cloths and boot covers.
  • Documentation: Complete digital work orders, parts tracking, and TSSA documentation on a company-issued tablet.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensing (Required): Valid Gas Fitter 2 (G2) license minimum; Gas Fitter 1 (G1) is a strong asset.
  • Trade License (Preferred): Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313D) or Plumbing license is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of residential boiler installation and service experience in Ontario.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)
  • Occasional overtime and rotating paid on-call weekend rotation

Experience:

  • Boiler Installation/Service: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • G2 or G1 Gas Fitter License (required)
  • Ontario G Driver's License (required)

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • On-site parking
