Gas Technician (G1) – Pool Heaters, Furnaces & Fireplaces

Location: Oakville, ON ; Service GTA

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Competitive hourly rate + benefits (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Gas Technician to install, service, and repair underground gas lines and gas-fired appliances. This role focuses on pool heaters, furnaces, and outdoor fireplaces in residential and light commercial environments.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, self-motivated, and brings an entrepreneurial mindset—someone who takes ownership of their work and looks for solutions, not shortcuts. Experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and service underground natural gas and propane lines
  • Diagnose and repair gas pool heaters, furnaces, and fireplaces
  • Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system start-ups
  • Ensure all work complies with Ontario gas codes and manufacturer specifications
  • Communicate clearly with customers and document work accurately

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario G1 or G2 Gas Technician License
  • 3+ years hands-on gas installation and service experience
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of CSA B149.1 gas code
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license - Clean Record

Preferred (Strong Assets)

  • Hydronic heating experience
  • HVAC experience (313A or 313D)
  • Pool industry or heater manufacturer experience
  • Propane system experience
  • Entrepreneurial, accountable, and customer-focused approach

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
