Garden Maintenance Technician

Collingwood, ON

Full-Time, Seasonal (August–November)
40 hours per week | $21–$24 per hour

About the Role

Plum Gardens is looking for motivated, outdoor-loving individuals to join our Garden Maintenance team. You’ll work alongside a supportive crew maintaining beautiful residential gardens in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, and surrounding areas.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a job well done, and loves being outside in all seasons.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain gardens through weeding, cultivating, edging, raking, and watering
  • Deadhead flowers and prune shrubs and small trees
  • Plant flowers and bulbs
  • Apply mulch, soil, and fertilizer
  • Perform physically demanding garden work, including digging and lifting
  • Maintain tools and assist with trailer loading
  • Represent Plum Gardens professionally and positively with clients

Schedule

  • August to late November
  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional weekends required due to weather-related schedule changes

What We’re Looking For

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in changing weather
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Willing to learn and use hand and gas-powered gardening tools
  • Detail-oriented with good judgment and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Regular walking, bending, lifting, and carrying tools
  • Outdoor work in public-facing environments and varying conditions
