Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Gardener / House Manager Assistant to support the maintenance and operation of a private estate. This role involves hands-on gardening, landscape upkeep, and assisting with household management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to estate care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a beautiful environment while contributing to the upkeep of a prestigious property.

Duties

  • Maintain and care for the estate’s gardens, including planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and pest control
  • Assist with landscape design projects and seasonal planting schedules
  • Perform general groundskeeping tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining pathways
  • Support household management tasks including organizing supplies, managing schedules for maintenance or service providers, and overseeing household inventories
  • Assist with indoor and outdoor event preparations as needed
  • Ensure all estate areas are kept clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless estate operations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping preferred
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care techniques
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with estate management software or household logistics coordination
  • Valid driver’s license is preferred for transportation needs within the estate premises
