Pet Food Warehouse is a well-established retail pet store, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and expert advice to pet owners. We have several locations throughout Northern Ontario and Manitoba. Our mission is to help our customers give their pets the quality of life they deserve by ensuring the excellence of our people, products, services and environment.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Manager to support the daily operations of our store. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals, possess excellent customer service skills and have the experience and knowledge necessary to grow sales in a retail environment. You will work as part of a team to ensure the day-to-day operations of the store are running smoothly, provide expert guidance to our customers, control inventory levels to maximize profit and lead other staff members.

Duties to include:

-Provide exceptional customer service by offering knowledgeable advice and assistant to customers which will exceed their expectations.

-Develop and maintain strong product knowledge across all pet categories.

-Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising and staffing.

-Ensure the store is well-organized, clean and visually appealing to customers.

-Motivate staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.

-Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that reflects our company’s values.

Qualifications:

-Previous experience in a retail environment, preferable in a leadership role.

-Strong knowledge of pet care and pet products would be an asset.

-Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and increase sales.

-Must be outgoing, high-energy and customer focused.

-Proficient with computers including the use of Excel, email and POS systems.

-Ability to lift 50lbs comfortably and handle continuous, repetitive lifting.

-Commitment to complete Pet Store Pro, an online learning program, within the first 3 months of employment.

-Flexible, open availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
