Full job description

North American Powertrain Components is seeking a dependable, experienced team member to lead our shipping and receiving operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can coordinate workflow, maintain accuracy, and keep product moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate workflow and provide direction to shipping, receiving, yard, and forklift staff
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using forklifts and material-handling equipment
  • Verify incoming shipments and ensure accurate receiving, documentation, and system entry
  • Organize, stage, and manage inventory including transmissions, cores, transfer cases, and related products
  • Ensure outbound orders are picked, prepared, documented, and shipped on schedule
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What’s Involved:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent forklift operation
  • Physically active work (lifting up to 75–100 lbs)
  • Use of computer-based inventory and shipping systems
  • Leadership responsibility for coordinating workflow and supporting team members

Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience required
  • 3+ years of shipping/receiving, warehouse, or yard experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and material-handling practices
  • Mechanical aptitude (automotive parts experience is an asset)
  • Computer proficiency with inventory/shipping systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
