Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for vehicle repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in dealership operations, mechanic work, or automotive repair is highly desirable to effectively assist customers and recommend necessary services.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and services, ensuring customer understanding.
  • Prepare repair orders with accurate descriptions of work needed, parts required, and estimated timeframes.
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
  • Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that benefit the customer's vehicle health while maintaining integrity.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
  • Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional needs, or future service appointments.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of dealership promotions, financing options, and service packages to assist in sales efforts.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are handled professionally, fostering trust and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair shop is preferred.
  • Dealership experience, mechanic experience, or mechanical knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Sales experience with a focus on upselling services while maintaining ethical standards.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Familiarity with automotive repair processes and terminology is beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up tasks.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
