Overview

The Private Caregiver provides attentive, respectful support that helps individuals maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines in their home or care setting. This role combines personal assistance, household support, and thoughtful communication tailored to each person’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care and senior care, including daily routines and support for individuals with disabilities.
  • Prepare meals, complete light cleaning, and provide home care while respecting personal preferences and privacy.
  • Support medication administration according to established care instructions, and observe and share relevant changes with appropriate care contacts.

Your impact: Consistent, considerate care helps individuals feel supported and enables care teams to coordinate daily needs.

Skills

Required: Practical caregiving skills, patient care, safe assistance with daily activities, meal preparation, cleaning, and clear communication are important for dependable support. The role also calls for careful attention when following medication instructions and the ability to assist with physical tasks, including heavy lifting when needed.

Preferred: Assisted living, nursing home, home care, or nursing experience is valuable, as are strengths in senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities.

Pay: $16.75-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 48.0 per week

Work Location: In person
