Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ( at least 5 years of experience is required) Dental Admin / Front Desk professional to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front office.

This role requires a highly organized individual with strong communication skills, computer knowledge and a solid understanding of dental office procedures. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient service while supporting the administrative functions of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental software
  • Prepare and manage patient charts and documentation with attention to detail
  • Assist with billing, coding, and processing payments efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure compliance with office policies
  • Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Utilize Epic or other electronic medical records systems as needed for documentation

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting is a MUST.
  • Knowledge of dental software such as Dentrix is highly preferred;
  • Strong understanding of Dental/Medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
  • Proven experience in office administration within medical or dental environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with phone systems and appointment scheduling protocols
