Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows within a busy medical or dental office. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Prior experience with electronic medical records and office management systems is highly valued.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and documentation
  • Maintain organized patient files using Dentrix, Epic, or similar electronic health record systems
  • Prepare and process paperwork related to patient visits, referrals, and billing
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence as needed

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Administrator is preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle front desk responsibilities efficiently while maintaining professionalism
  • Office experience in a healthcare setting, including familiarity with medical or dental office workflows, is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
