    • This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivery of Rx accurately and timely.
    • The Role: Staff Pharmacist (Full-time and Part-time opportunities available).
    • Maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and Rexall policies.
    • Mentors and trains lower-level pharmacy technicians as needed.
    • Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience.
    • Compensation: $50.00 – $80.00 /hr (Commensurate with location, experience, and clinical skills) Pay Frequency: Weekly (Get paid every Friday!).

We are a group of six independently owned and operated pharmacy locations proudly serving all of Kelowna, Lake Country and the surrounding Okanagan area. Our goal is to provide our patients with all their pharmacy needs including Custom Compounding, Compliance Pill Packaging, Home Health Care and Medical Supplies.

Job description

We are looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant at Dyck's Pharmacists on St. Paul Street. You will be scheduled Monday to Friday 830-5pm or 9-530pm, and occasional Saturdays 10-4pm.

This assistant will be responsible for typing prescriptions and communicating with patients about them, including the unique details about compounded medications. Because this is a advanced position, we will only be considering applicants with extensive experience with prescription entry.

As a Pharmacy Assistant you will be responsible for processing and preparing prescriptions, assisting patients in person and over the phone, cashier duties, preparing deliveries, ordering and inventory management, and assisting the Pharmacists with daily operations of the Pharmacy.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi task
  • Previous Pharmacy experience required; experience using Kroll strongly preferred

Wage is negotiable and will be based on previous pharmacy experience.
