About the Role

We're seeking an MOA with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate has worked in North Vancouver or the North Shore and is familiar with the local healthcare community, including area specialists, labs, imaging clinics, and referral networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Process referrals to specialists, imaging, and labs, and follow up on results
  • Respond to patient inquiries and manage the clinic inbox
  • Maintain accurate patient records in CHR (TELUS Collaborative Health Record)
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians as needed
  • Manage incoming faxes, correspondence, and document filing within CHR
  • Order and maintain office and medical supplies

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Office Assistant
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with CHR / TELUS Collaborative Health Record a strong asset)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential patient information

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience working in a North Vancouver or North Shore medical office
  • Established familiarity with the local referral network, specialists, and community health resources
  • MOA certificate from a recognized program
