Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support our teams on an exciting new animated feature film. Reporting to Production Leadership, you will ensure your department remains on schedule and on budget while driving day-to-day execution, monitoring milestones, and maintaining alignment across creative, technical, and production teams. This role requires a highly organised communicator who can guide artists toward successful delivery while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

What You’ll do:

  • Supervise production processes, schedules, reporting, reviews, and cross-department coordination for assigned department.

  • Build and maintain detailed floor schedules, assigning tasks in collaboration with Craft Supervisors, Leads, and Coordinators.

  • Track progress using production tracking system, ensuring accurate statuses, ETCs, and reporting.

  • Monitor performance against targets, flag risks, and adjust plans as needed.

  • Produce regular progress reports and communicate variances to Production leadership.

  • Coordinate and support review sessions, including scheduling, preparation, note-taking, and follow-up.

  • Manage Production Coordinators and Assistants, providing guidance and oversight.

  • Ensure artists have the information, resources, and support required to meet deadlines.

  • Facilitate cross-department communication and resolve workflow issues.

  • Oversee timesheet accuracy and approvals, and coordinate overtime with appropriate approval.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and professional communication at all times.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with studio culture.

What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor within the feature animation industry and/or at least 3+ years as a Production Coordinator on CG feature films or related experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of the 3D animation pipeline from assets through lighting and compositing.

  • Proficiency with asset and shot tracking software (Autodesk Flow Production Tracking strongly preferred).

  • Experienced in Google Suite (preferred) and/or Microsoft Office.

  • Experience working on large production teams with the ability to operate independently.

  • Advanced scheduling, tracking, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to analyse production data, identify trends, and forecast performance.

  • Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information clearly.

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.

  • Calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused under pressure in fast-paced environments.

  • Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently and as part of a team.

This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Hybrid Role (Minimum requirement of 3 days a week in the office).

At NAS, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $80K-$97K CAD. This reflects total compensation; we do not have bonuses.
