Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an organized and dependable Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will coordinate with truck drivers, customers, customs brokers, and service providers to ensure freight moves efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for company truck drivers.
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  • Provide shipment updates and proactively communicate delays or issues to customers.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound load clearances.
  • Work with Canadian and U.S. customs procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve transportation issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate roadside assistance, mechanical repairs, and other emergency support for drivers.
  • Arrange replacement equipment or drivers when operational issues occur.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and shipment information.
  • Work closely with operations, customers, brokers, and warehouse personnel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous transportation dispatch experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. customs clearance procedures is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $40,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
