Café Supervisor Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to support our Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. As the Café Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our café runs smoothly, maintains high standards of food safety and quality, handles financial and administrative tasks, and delivers an exceptional experience to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the café, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation areas.
• Lead and train café staff in food preparation techniques, customer service best practices, and cash handling procedures.
• Develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among staff members.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Familiarity with cash handling processes and financial management within the café setting.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
