About Us
We are a Calgary-based public accounting firm serving a broad mix of small business and owner-operator clients. We are a close-knit team (10 staff currently) dedicated to excellence, but we’re also evolving—committed to building a client-first culture. We’re seeking a Senior Accountant who is both technically strong and excited to help lead us into our next phase.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Lead review engagements, compilations, and oversee bookkeeping deliverables
  • Prepare personal, corporate, (and trust/partnership, as needed) tax returns
  • Handle CRA / tax authority correspondence and file resolution
  • Supervise and mentor 1–2 junior accountants; review their work and assist in their development
  • Act as a client contact—attend meetings, respond to client questions, and build rapport
  • Manage multiple deadlines and workflow across client files
  • Contribute to improving firm processes, systems, and client experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • CPA (or actively working toward the designation)
  • At least 2 years of public practice experience
  • Familiarity (or ability to learn) with Caseware, Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks Desktop & Online, Profile, TaxDome(assets)
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, tax, and assurance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, collaborative, and a good mentor
  • Team player with interests outside work (we believe in balance and culture!)
