Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Farm Worker to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the daily operations of the farm. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure the farm runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a vibrant environment, contributing directly to sustainable farming.

Duties

  • Grade fruits and vegetables based on size, shape, colour, and volume to maximize market value
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintenance to ensure optimal growing conditions
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops according to best agricultural practices
  • Conduct regular weeding to maintain crop health and productivity
  • Harvest crops efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of farm machinery and equipment
  • Inspect produce for quality and determine readiness for market distribution
  • Manually remove suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy plant growth
  • Perform hand harvesting of vegetables with care and precision
  • Cultivate crops using vertical farming systems
  • Clean and prepare harvested crops for storage or shipment
  • Apply hoeing techniques between rows to support soil aeration and weed control
  • Cut and handle horticultural crops in accordance with industry standards
