Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Receptionist-Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This role combines front-desk responsibilities with essential administrative and legal support functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess strong communication skills to serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff while assisting with legal documentation.

Duties

  • Greet clients, visitors, and callers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent phone etiquette at all times
  • Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and handle message taking efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist with legal drafting, proofreading, and editing of documents to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Organize and file legal documents both electronically and physically, ensuring proper record-keeping
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and other written materials with strong writing skills
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining client files

Experience

  • Previous clerical or administrative experience in a professional setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, or working within a law firm is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail for legal documents
  • Confidence, strong work ethic and reliability are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in PC Law is considered an asset
