Server / Catering Service Staff

Pay: $17.60 per hour + gratuities
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time opportunities available
Location: Parry Sound, Ontario

We are seeking experienced, professional servers to join our front-of-house team for both restaurant dining service and catered events.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of two years of serving experience, strong customer-service skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and welcoming approach with guests.

In addition to regular restaurant service, this position includes catered events ranging from smaller private functions to large-scale buffet and plated events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, attentive and efficient table service.
  • Accurately take guest orders and communicate effectively with the kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
  • Maintain awareness of tables and guest needs throughout service.
  • Process guest payments accurately.
  • Maintain clean, organized and properly prepared dining and service areas.
  • Complete opening, closing and assigned side duties.
  • Work effectively with front-of-house and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
  • Maintain professional presentation and conduct while interacting with guests.
  • Assist with setup, execution and breakdown of catered events.
  • Provide both plated and buffet service for catered functions.
  • Set tables, service stations, buffets and event spaces according to event requirements.
  • Carry trays and serve multiple guests efficiently during large functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout catered events.
  • Assist with clearing, resetting and breakdown following events.
  • Follow food-safety, alcohol-service and workplace-safety requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant serving experience required.
  • Catering, banquet, wedding or large-event service experience is an asset.
  • Experience with plated and buffet service is an asset.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Fast, efficient and organized during busy service periods.
  • Ability to manage multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working both restaurant shifts and catered events.
  • Availability for evenings and weekends as required.
  • Smart Serve certification required for alcohol service.

Pay: $17.60 per hour + gratuities.
