Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Host/Hostess and be the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant. In this energetic role, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere by greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, making every guest feel valued from the moment they arrive. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a lively environment dedicated to guest satisfaction.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
  • Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow
  • Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing inquiries
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness of the host stand area and ensure a welcoming environment at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Basic understanding of food service etiquette and phone etiquette
